Underlay

Underlay is a territory control action game where the board itself is your weapon and your vulnerability.

You are trapped on a grid of hostile space. Your only way out is through the ground you walk on by peeling away the dangerous surface, you can reveal the safe, pure base underneath. This reclaimed territory is your sanctuary; it's the only place you can fight back from.

But as you tear the world open, it fights back. Cracks in the surface spawn explosive parasites and trigger volatile chain reactions. You must carefully manage the chaos, using the shifting environment to swallow your enemies before they overwhelm you.

Every move is a balance of risk and reward. How much of the board will you peel back before it breaks you?
